It goes on to describe the effects of winter on people it’s so cold that it seems to have frozen the blood in them. It draws a picture of icicles hanging from the rooftops, the cold milk in the pots, the hush of the birds with only the sound of an owl in the winter stillness that ironically sounds melodious to people.
